a relief

to finally
reach
an age
of self
awareness

lazy

mean

stupid

cowardly

for so
long
those all
seemed like
detriments

but when
the realization
dawns
that those
are the only
qualities
with which
to work

knowing
these negatives
becomes
a positive

many
of us
are only given
what
we are given

we have
to learn to do
the least amount
of harm
with what
we have

at least
I haven’t
murdered
or physically
maimed
anyone
