Dream 70

I am walking
quickly
through what appears
to be a
hotel lobby

another man
is at my side
as we follow
a very distinguished
older woman

a woman
in charge

“I will handle
the restaurant

the lounge

and the
conference rooms

you two
take either
wing
of the upper
floors

HURRY!"

the other guy
and I
rush onto
an elevator

I ask him
what
we are supposed
to say

“just knock
on each door

say
in a loud voice
that this
is a mandatory
drill for everyone

to meet
downstairs
for evacuation”

we get off
entering
a long hallway

I look
down
one side
seemingly
into infinity

then visualize
the large
structure

knowing that
we will be knocking
on a lot
of doors

he goes
his way

I go
mine

as I walk
by a window
I see
that we are
moving
through space

and are not
in a building
at all
