I am pushing
a loaded cart
at work

in a narrow
space
between a wall
and workbenches

I am impeded
by Bobby
and Kevin V.

they look
down
at my cart

begin discussing
the boards
there

I smile
accepting
their observations

their judgments

but am not
really listening
to what
they are saying

I just want
to get
to where
I’m going

while
they prattle on
I impatiently
look around
at the work
benches

the equipment

the tools
upon them

I look down
on the floor

see a part
to a test station
that I though
I had lost

as irritated
as I am
at being delayed
by these two

I realize
that without
their intrusion
that I probably
would’ve never
found
the missing
part
