understand
the hubbub

the drama

so many
messages
screamed

clamors
raised

such useless
turbulence

with no
thought
of those not
so caught up
in pointless
commotion

leaving
the excluded
quiet
with little
recourse

but to accept
the annoying
pandemonium
as a natural consequence
of the environment

or to rail
against
the disturbance
in like
manner

to become
the noise

with no
thought
of others
trying
to sleep

to simply
exist
in peace

sans
such public
displays
of disharmony

Brother Bollocks
would rather
plug his ears
against these
barking dogs

oblivious
to their
biblically futile
protests

roll
calmly over
in bed

and dream
the silent
night
