passed

another
disappointment
for Brother
Bollocks

nothing
suddenly
changed

no apparent
revelations
appeared
to fit him
better
into this
world

he is as
clueless as
December
31st

his family

his friends

wish him
to be happy

to be
successful
in whatever
may interest
him

but he
remains
estranged

he has
little interest
beyond
survival

perhaps
he possesses
a genetic
defect

some self
imposed
social flaw

but he
feels happiest
when appearing
the most
miserable

this
is what
worries
those
he knows

Brother Bollocks
suffers
for purpose

whether
work

working
out

writing

he needs
actions
of self evident
utility

simple ways
to give glory
to God

walking
gives him
the most
pleasure

enjoying
such easy
simplicity

recognizing
this daily
miracle
of existence

accepting
the advantages
afforded by
the sacrifices
of others

otherwise

what worth
did they
provide?

we breathe
the blessed air
of Creation

as we move
through the
Divine light
each day

hoping
that our actions
will reflect
the Grace
given
to us
