MICROCHASM
(4/19/19)

I live
in a little
world

limited
to

limited
between

home
and
office

social
interactions
kept
to a minimum

my time
consumed
by work

domestic
chores

exercise

movies

books

music

food

sleep

all quite
alone

there always
seems to be
so much more
than I can
do
in a day

infinity
dances upon
my finger
tips

I am
never
bored

I am
never
lonely

but
they tell
me
that I am
wasting
my life

without
a wife

a family

society

any ambition
whatsoever

they
tell me
these
things

as they
rush about
frantically
looking as if
they are
missing
something

when God
has put
everything
within
their grasp

I stay
serene
within
my routine

they ask
me
of my legacy

what
they should
write
upon my
tombstone

cremation

I answer

nothing
needs
to be written

scatter
my ashes
as you
please

I am going
nowhere
