for all
the distractions
in daily life
the purest
goal
seems
the search
for some source
of continual
purpose

brush aside
all the bullshit
in our soul's
pathway
to find a sure
and simple route
to a meaningful
destination
of vital
intent

environment
and circumstances
are meaningless

jails
cars
beds
boats
ditches
deserts
beaches
hospitals
churches
sidewalks
mountains
battlefields
boot camps
blood banks
movie theaters
are all equally
viable
scenarios

I sit
at my desk
working alone
in the office today
and feel the world
turn about me
in a synchronicity
of the absolute

strange

I feel
complete
and content
but nothing
in my life
has changed

I made
no preparations
for this sensation
other than to realize
that moments
such as these
are always
a breath
away

call it grace

call it delusion

call it
the only
reason
for continuing
this worldly
existence

an email
appears

a customer
complains

my cosmic
view
reduces

I am left
with a
keyboard

computer

monitor

the only
weapons
available
with which
to ward off
the mundane
until another
femtoflash
of the divine
arrives

I dig in
resolutely
to watch
and wait
